22 DAYS for our 22nd YEAR!
The Sacramento Jewish Film Festival, a proud program of the Federation and JCRC and a Sacramento cultural institution, returns for its 22nd year. This year's festival will be entirely virtual. While we cannot be together in person to celebrate Jewish thought and culture, we are fortunate to have advanced streaming technology that allows everyone to participate from wherever they are!
To celebrate our 22nd year, we will be showing at least 22 films over 22 days. This is a much larger festival than was possible in-person, more movies, and more days in which to watch them. What's not to love? So many options! In addition to all of the movies, we are excited to host several special events:
· Join us for a community-wide Zoom Havdalah ceremony on Saturday, March 6.
· Zoom chats with film directors or actors.
· Live community-wide Zoom events to discuss films and the festival experience.
EVENT DETAILS. Mark your calendars now!
When: Wednesday, March 3, through Wednesday, March 24, 2021
Where: Anywhere you enjoy streaming films at home.
Information on our films, trailers, tickets, and passes and other will be available on our festival website.
You can support the SJFF by becoming a sponsor or advertiser. It's easy and we need EARLY support for our virtual platform.
Here's a preview of one of our films:
CODE NAME AYALONIn 1975, a demolition crew was clearing away the remains of an old kibbutz in central Israel. When members of the demo team wrestled aside a large, rusted clothes washer, they discovered a small entryway that led below ground. What they discovered had been kept secret, hidden for three decades. Click here to see the trailer.
The Sacramento Jewish Film Festival is celebrating its 22nd season of bringing the community together for entertaining, provocative, and educational films. Be part of the celebration!
Our prime sponsor, the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region is a philanthropic organization that provides educational, cultural, and social services programs to the Jewish community locally and around the world. The Federation movement protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of "tikkun olam" (repairing the world) and "tzedakah" (charity and social justice).
Our partner, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) educates about and advocates on behalf of issues of vital importance to the Jewish community.
