PURIM CELEBRATION
The Purim celebration is always a great event at B’nai Israel for the entire family, so mark your calendars and join us! Costumes encouraged!
Purim Pasta Dinner | 5:30 PM
The evening starts with a delicious pasta dinner to support the Confirmation Class!
Beer/wine and baked goods will be available at the event – all proceeds support the Confirmation Class!
Megillah & Purimspiel | 6:15 PM
The fun continues after dinner with the Megillah reading and Purimspeil! Following the Megillah reading, the B’nai Israel Players will present the annual Purimspiel. This year’s show is West Shushan Story. This original play is based on the classic American stage and film sensation, West Side Story, considered one of the greatest musicals of all time — until we get through with it! We’ll have all the famous songs, scenes, and dances reworked to present the story of Queen Esther and Mordecai, and Purim (and Broadway) will never be the same. The show will be a singing, dancing, and multimedia extravaganza you won’t want to miss!
Attending the Megillah reading and the Purimspiel is free of charge; just plan to get there no later than 6:00 PM. If you can’t attend in person, please join us on YouTube Livestream.
